Well I recently returned from Dogcon held over the Australia Day Holdiday weekend in Sydney; with 118 players it was the biggest WHFB tourney ever held in Australia and it was a great event.

My Woodelf list performed extremely well playing against 3 dark elves, 1 bretonnian , 1 wood elf and 1 tomb king army. I only dropped the one game (a close 12-8) against tourney winner and last years runner up Locky McWhirter...great player who deserved the tourny win!
Fellow owner of Irresistible Force and the current Australian Warhammer Master Andrew Galea took another variation of his dark elves and finished a strong 2nd... he is in stirling form and is the man to beat in any event he attends at present.
So what does 2009 hold for me??? Well the big WHF goal is obviously the 2009 ETC in Germany in August...what an honour it is to part of Team Australia to contend this prestigious event with 24+ teams from all over Europe. I'm undecided over which army to play at present...Empire or Wood Elves.... I'll make a firm decision in consultation with the team shortly and then play play play with it so I don't embarrass myself in Europe ;)
I'd once again love to place in the "Grand Slam" of Oz events... IE Dogcon, Convic and Orktoberfest.... the first step is complete but the other two legs will be very daunting, challenging and a lot of fun!!!!
